Help changing default page
« on: June 17, 2007, 09:19:54 AM »
Hi all,

I had a developer set a .php as my default page but I know need it to be .html.  However, when I delete the php page and upload the html page, the site still tries to direct me to the php page.

Using the control panel, how can I fix this?

Thanks!

There should be a "Default Pages" item under the "IIS" menu.

I thought that at first but there is no .php item in that list.  I went so far as to move up the default.html page to the top of the list but with no luck.

Without knowing the domain, the first thing off the top of my head would be that the domain is not pointing to the CT server for your account. This would fit the php page still coming up and the change in the IIS Default Page section not having any effect. Have you tried going to the site by the IP address to see if you get the same result?

If there still seems to be a problem, please send in a ticket to support and we can look into further for you.

In the IIS default pages, simply click Add and add a page name, for example "index.php"

It's already going to index.php, he is trying to stop it - not make it.  I ready it backwards too the first time.

Any chance that its just cached in the browser?

Have you tried it from a different computer?

Can you post the domain so that we can have a shot at it?
